After I shared the creepy TSA video that tries to indoctrinate kids, one reader asked why wouldn’t Americans simply refuse to fly for a week or two?
Surely the financial pain would cause the airlines (and, by extension, the government) to capitulate to Americans’ demands that the TSA be removed from airports, right?
And if this refusal to fly was effective at fighting the TSA, wouldn’t a similar refusal to enroll be effective at fighting Obamacare?
It’s a good line of reasoning, but I’m not convinced it would work. Here’s why:
One organization called We Won’t Fly tried to organize “no fly” days and “opt out” days (where travelers opted out of the full body scanners). The efforts were noble, but didn’t seem to be overly effective. It’s hard to get people to refrain from flying when they’ve already booked vacations or must travel for business.
That said, I think it would be amazing if Americans boycotted the airports in protest of the TSA for two whole weeks. And I think it would be amazing if Americans refused to enroll in Obamacare. (Personally, I won’t get near a health exchange website.)
Without people enrolled, Obamacare can’t work. More to the point, without healthy people enrolled, Obamacare can’t work. If you are a healthy person, you have more influence over the viability of Obamacare.
But do Americans really have the necessary fortitude (not that you need much) to boycott the TSA and Obamacare? Again, I doubt it.
Some people freak out if they don’t have health insurance coverage for a single day — even if they are a healthy family without any known medical conditions. And… 7 out of 10 Americans have been brainwashed into believing they simply “must” have their meds.
So do Americans have the fortitude to resist draconian laws? No, not really. And that is why Americans will continue to lose basic freedoms… and… go right along with their rulers’ plans to completely enslave them.
Don’t be scared. Be prepared.
